Community Wellness Event � "Aurora-MACC Run/Walk

The 2009 Aurora-MACC Run/Walk accommodated non-runners with a 5K Walk at the well-attended July 11 event. Traditional Adult 5K and 10K Runs and a Children's Half Mile Race offered trophies for the top performers. Please see the event poster and brochure for more information and plan to join us for next year's event! Sponsored by Aurora Healthcare and the Marinette-Menominee Area Chamber of Commerce, the Run/Walk promotes community health and supports Twin Counties Free Clinic. If you're not already a walker-runner, you have time to get in shape. Visit the COUCH TO 5K site and create a free account. Follow the easy-to-follow program and you'll be walking, jogging, running for the summer wellness event even if you're a "couch potato" today. You can record your progress using the free calendar, create a walking/jogging route, and enjoy many more features.

All items were sold through a Silent Auction event; our thanks to the generous donors who made this event successful! Funds raised will be used to purchase prescription medications for uninsured and under-insured adult residents of Marinette, WI and Menominee, MI counties.
